Programme Details
M+ Rover school sessions are composed of two parts:
(i) M+ Rover exhibition and (ii) artist-led activities

(i) M+ Rover exhibition
• All staff and students • Time slots outside the artist-led activities period

All staff and students are welcome to visit the exhibition during recess and time outside the artist-led activities period. Schools are encouraged to arrange guided tours during school hours for all students, whether they are studying art or not. The maximum capacity for each tour is forty students, and the duration is approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes.

(ii) Artist-led activities
• Fifteen to forty P.2 to P.6 students • Two ninety-minute sessions

Interactive games and creative activities are hosted by the participating artist and his collaborators. The experience involves two ninety-minute sessions. The first session should be held in a classroom within one week before M+ Rover arrives at the school; the second session should be held at the exhibition space of M+ Rover or the covered playground while M+ Rover is on campus. Schools can arrange fifteen to forty students in P.2 to P.6 to join the session. Students are recommended to attend both sessions for a complete experience.

Schools may request M+ Rover to stay on campus for longer than one day to provide students with more guided tours, if overnight parking can be accommodated. M+ will consider the request based on resource availability and site condition.

Teacher’s Resource Pack:
Participating schools will receive a toolkit developed by M+ in collaboration with the commissioned artists. The toolkit introduces Wong Tin Yan’s artistic practice through his commissioned work Yes but Why? and his other projects. The information is designed to assist teachers in developing their lesson plans and help students learn about the artist and his work before they join M+ Rover. It can also be used for extended activities to follow up on experiences or as starting points for further projects. Teachers from non-participating schools are welcome to use the resource pack for research and lesson planning.
