“Wayne McGregor turns his life story into a dance in a mesmerising inimitable show based upon his own genetic code”
──The Guardian

For 25 years, British choreographer and director Wayne McGregor has made choreography that interrogates life through the experience of the body. In Autobiography, McGregor turns his attention to the body as archive, with a dance portrait illuminated by the sequencing of his own genome. Like life, each performance unfolds uniquely in a continuous reimagining, with the order of the dance pieces algorithmically assembled from a collection of 23 choreographic volumes.

Autobiography is co-commissioned by Freespace and a number of international venues, as part of the three-year artistic collaboration between West Kowloon and Studio Wayne McGregor.
