CCDC Resident Choreography Sang Jijia has won numerous international dance awards and was awarded the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship to study in the US. In 2002, he was chosen by the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative to study choreography under William Forsythe in Germany and remained at Ballet Frankfurt and the Forsythe Company as assistant choreography and dancer. Since returning to China in 2006, Sang has created a number of full-length works for BeijingDance/LDTX, Guangdong Modern Dance Company and CCDC. He has received commissions from a number of renowned dance companies across the world, including Carte Blanche (Norway) and Spellbound Contemporary Ballet (Italy). Sang Jijia is celebrated for his extremely physical and emotional movement language and his use of electronic music to interpret abstract concepts.

Kung Chi-shing

Artistic Associate (Music), Performing Arts at West Kowloon, Kung Chi-shing is a composer, performer and music activist. He studied classical music and composition in the United States with Allen Trubitt and George Crumb and is known for his work in the music and performance group The Box, which he founded with Peter Suart in 1987. He has collaborated frequently with choreography, directors and theatre artists, and has performed his music in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Cuba, Tashkent, New York, London, Berlin and Venice.
