For Lunar New Year, the Art of Cantonese Opera Association proudly presents a festive programme that opens in traditional fashion with The Prime Minister of Six States, giving the audience a glimpse of the dazzling grandeur of old Cantonese opera charm. Following the opening is the re-run of Lady Spring Fragrance, an adaptation of a traditional Korean folktale that premiered at the Xiqu Centre last year.

Also in the highlight is The Tale of Sachet, the revival of a Tong Tik-sang opera that has not been produced in recent years. Other repertoires include Tong’s timeless classics Tale of the Purple Hairpin, Outburst of a Shrew, as well as The Beauty’s Grave. Craving for some action? The Tyrant, the Beauty and the Brave General is the sure choice.
